But....

I started a new project for summer from the Spring/Summer 2009 Vogue:

I've been wearing skirts with a lot of white in them - I thought this (in CE of course!) would go very well with my new look.

But as I said...Mum's the word, eh? We wouldn't want the knitting gods to take undo notice & screw things up!

School's Out!

I'm allowing myself to relax...just a bit...even though CNM classes have started.

Yay! My first year is done!

A parent tracked me down on Friday to give me these flowers in appreciation:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed...knocking on wood...whistling in the dark...that my summer classes won't be too much of a hassle.

And ...I'll...finally....get....to....KNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8th Grade Dance

I was the official punch bowl fountain teacher. Which means I got to refill that dang thing every other minute. One part punch mix to 5 parts water....over & over & over!

Then I tripped over a wire & fell face first. (We managed to cover every wire with duct tape except that one!) Dylan pointed out that since the punch wasn't spiked, I was a true klutz.

Fun was had by all - I'm so glad I volunteered!

Changes

Belch - seriously sorry about that last post. Late night = funky spelling!

Here's what's happening in my world:

Doug has got the Pod about 1/4 full. Our divorce paperwork is filled out - we just need an attorney's once-over before filing. We'll be able to waive the 1 month waiting period and could be officially split as early as 2 weeks after filing.

My teaching ends next week while my "student-ing" starts again on Tuesday and Thursday. But at least my classes will be during the summer so I won't have work interfering!

I've narrowed down my tattoo choice and it looks like two others from work will go with me. It'll be a girl's day out at the tattoo parlor! ::grin::

All is still well - just not a lot of crafting going on. One more week, folks, and then maybe I'll pick up the needles.....

 

I am...A Facebook Baby

Wow - totally edited for spelling - I must never, EVER make a post so late at night! LOL

I've been on there a couple of months now and am able to keep up almost daily with little snippets of my life. The key is random, small snippets to I don't have to think so hard to make the posts. My old blog is still here, just fewer posts & progress.

I'm serious, for the duration of my studies, you might want to come "friend" me over there to have some hope of keeping up with my life and it's many changes.

 I figured I'd let you all decide.This is where I'll come to show the major completed itemsto you all. I'd liked to have this blog stand as a basic knitting,crochet, haven for people to ask questions if they have them. The only drawback is that I won't be consistenting here until Dec.(my graduation!!!)

Obviously, I'm feeling fine. Fine enough to be knitting again. :) yay!

The split continues to be incredibly amicable and stress-free. Double yay!

I got my official call from HR - APS is picking up my contract for next year. I'm in, it's a done deal, I'm eternally, incredibly grateful. Triple yay!

I received the new Sandra magazine and my first thought when I saw this page was, Cotton Ease!:

There are actually quite a few cute, spring/summer sweaters in this issue. I'm glad because I've been very disappointed over all with my subscription.

I popped up to Santa Fe today to meet my Bio-Mom for lunch. It was fun to get out of town. Although I think I cranked my tunes too loud when I was cruising & blew a speaker. Sigh.

I should know better - factory speakers can't handle the bass I like!
