On Monday I decided to save the evidence of my unfortunate dental encounter and put it under my pillow:
Show with finger for scale.
And what did I receive in return?
Just a device capable of storing every book I'll ever want to read in the electronic device that looks like an iPod on 'roids:
Man, I only wish the Tooth Fairy had picked up the tab.
Dudes - this rocks my world. Books are sometimes free! And good books are cheaper all the time! Think about taking a trip with travel guides, historical tomes, all at the ready to help you get the most from the 100th church you've seen that day. Plus, you can have just plain fun stuff on here too.
I totally luuuuurve it. Now - if I can teach it how to do lesson plans for me, I'll have a true right-hand man!
OMG...I'll pull out three of my teeth for that!!! Enjoy!!!

I got my Kindle last month and it is absolutely my favorite toy. I've read books and magazines on it, can access the internet and have uploaded personal documents including some of the patterns I've written. It was great on vacation.

Though I'm an avid audiobook reader, I just can't get into books on a screen- give me print!

I have the first gen Kindle and I LOOOVE it. Bought it when it was more ($400) but got a refund when it went down. It is great - I finish a book at work and can get another one right away. Hope you enjoy it!

And to think Kindle's were prophesied on the original Star Trek!

Oh my! That is one BIG tooth! I'm surprised they let you have it. When my children had their wisdom teeth removed, I asked for the teeth (to show them later) and was told that (removed) teeth are considered Toxic Waste and must be disposed of according to law. What??!!!
Although as a side note, the assistant slipped me DD's 2 intact teeth in a plastic bag on the sly (the other 2 had to be removed in pieces and not saved). My DS's teeth were likewise removed in pieces and not saved.
So glad you are enjoying the Kindle. Don't think they work here in our neck of the woods though.
My daughter sneezed at me on the phone today. I told her "I felt that!" And she asked, "Did you really?" LOL
Have a great day everyone!

A friend just got a Kindle a couple of weeks ago and loves hers. I'll probably get one later this year.

My brother got one last month and loves it -- he knew he was breaking my heart (I have been a bookseller for 10 years now) when he told me he would never buy another real book -- only kindle books!
He thinks that this will be the way that my kids will read their text books on a kindle.
