Are your dishes "The Old Curiousity Shop"? I have a set that was my grandmother's that I use when we have Thanksgiving at our house.
You are wise to save those gumdrops!

I am happy you had such a nice Thanksgiving-ours was terrific. The decorations aren't coming down til next weekend-I need a week off from prepping for this week.

It sounds like a great Thanksgiving! Ours was quiet, but nice. We're getting ready for decorating today - there's still a difference of opinion on whether we should have a Real Tree or the plastic tree in the garage, so once that's settled we can get started.

*shudder* I have many not-so-fond memories of Black Friday. It's why I never go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Too painful...

I love that gingerbread house. I need to order that pattern. Of course, it will take me until next Christmas to make it. I worked in retai for years so I know how aggravating it can be. The only thing worse is the week after Christmas with clearance sales and returns.

April

Oh, how nice! Happy Thanksgiving. Looks great!

Carrie K

Poor hubby. No way would I go out today (and I didn't). THankfully my gainful employment isn't retail at all.

Kimberly

Looks like a great Thanksgiving was had - what yummy looking food!

Wendy

I have been meaning to make that gingerbread house, but doubt I will have time this year. Your pattern was stolen? I would have given you mine.

Your Thanksgiving table looks beautiful! That is gorgeous china. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving.
