Ha! Love your title! Rip it out in a fury :)

Just one more reason to love your blog, now I don't have to suffer through making this. Cause I have had my eye on it for a while now. :) Thanks for going to all the trouble to let me know it is a pain in the butt that doesn't look like the picture.

Ah, I'm glad you attempted it and found out it isn't worth it. Now you can get back to the fun stuff without any regrets.

But you're so close! Or not. Nicky Epstein has a Christmas Tree skirt I've always meant to knit. Probably won't though.

Beryl looks good! I feel the same way about IK. Hate the new layout.

I hate it when cable patterns have errors in them. I am guessing that the editor made the choice to change the cable and the designer didn't want to knit up a new tree skirt so they just took a picture of the old one.

I am knitting this pattern:

It is a cabled stocking. I think it has a pattern in the cabling. It is bothering me. So I think I will take a picture of it and post it on my blog and ask what people think. It sort of is a cable that crosses and then doesn't go where it should and makes no sense to me. Of course, I am not as savvy as you and I have knit that cable several time thinking a series of misguided cables might look better, Ha Ha...

Hey...and it sort of makes you wonder when you spend hours, days, weeks...making a tree skirt that will get sap (if you use real trees) on it and may get snagged or worse....

I'd go with the Wal-Mart tree skirts in a flash. Life is too short to work on something that is giving you fits because the pattern is wrong.
