MORE skunks??? Oh my! Keep the traps out.

Your new glasses look great and of course you look fabulous in them.

Can hardly wait to see the finished sweater with all those colors.

How was the HP movie?

Have a great day everyone.

Linda

Isn't Carnivale great? I just finished episode 8 last night, and I can't wait for the next DVD to get here. I love Netfix for making it all possible.
I read the first 2 HP books to my 4th graders when I first discovered them. The kids loved them. The next year when I tried it one of the Assembly of God Church parents made such a stink that I gave it up. It still makes me mad when I think about it.

Carrie K

Cute glasses and they look really cute on you.

More skunks? Is that a herd? A passel?

Harry Who? ;)

Robbyn

Perhaps a "stench" of skunks?

Your new specs look wonderful :)

Thanks for the Carnivale tip - I'll have to check it out!

Daniela

Hello Bron!
I restarted the whole HP series a month ago, am in the middle of the sixth one, so saturday we definitely will have the same occupation!
And maybe the skunks want to be set free with a nice knitted item ;-)
Have a good read
Daniela

I'm also going to be reading that book for the next few days/weeks. I am second in line for the new one so have plenty of time to read that one. The Baby Girl usually reads Harry Potter in less than 2 days, so, I'll have it waiting when I get home from vacation.
Love the sweater! Haven't seen or smelled any skunks since we left New England 15 years ago.

Margaret - I'll have to do an official movie review, but I did like it. I think if you haven't read the book you'd be a bit lost, though, as this movie had less "set-up" information than the others. But it went quickly & the special effects were great. :)

Linda - Don't get me started on the "HP is from the Devil" attitude that's out there. I think it's small & sad and those children are really missing out because of their parents paranoia, fear and ignorance. Ahem....next time I'll tell ya what I REALLY think. ::wink:: But then again, I'm pretty much a heretic in my life's philosophy.

I LOVE "Carnivale"! I'm just sorry there are so few episodes! I'm waiting for 5 & 6 from Netflix right now. I've got HBO on cable & they are offering 8 or so episode On-Demand. Can't wait until I'm caught up & can have a marathon!

Carrie, Carrie, Carrie..."Harry who?" Tsk, tsk.... I'll pop you in the Sorting Hat & leave you there! hehehe

Robbyn - Definitely a "stench" of skunks. Good one!

Daniela - Little skunk caps rather than skull caps? Hmmmm...you're giving me ideas!

Sheri - I refuse to let my kids read the HP books before me. I can finish one in a day - they take a week because (gasp!) they can PUT IT DOWN & DO OTHER STUFF! (I don't know how I managed to give birth to two non-fanatic-readers...it just boggles my mind.)

So Bron - I think you've read more of the HP books than I have. Would you think it would be okay read-to material for a 5-year-old? I think she'll be ready to see the movies next year, but not yet.

Oh, how I miss Carnivale.

Other than the first two weeks of kindergarten that finish up tomorrow, I've got nothin'. ;-)

findingher

I finished re-reading Half Blood Prince last night, and can't WAIT for midnight tomorrow! By this time, 24 hours from now, I'll be...probably still in line. But close!! I'm SO excited.
