I did have yesterday off and got to take not one but two short naps which helped my DST blues. But stomach problems kept me up off & on last night & this morning I'm still not doing well. I'm only scheduled for two classes today and should be home by 11:30. Right now I'm taking medicine & hoping things calm down enough for me to make it through!
I'm pretty sure it's stress related (been here, done this LOTS of times) and nothing viral. Blech.
I do have some actual Bianca progress to show you. Yes - the sleeves are finished and I have all the pieces & parts on one needle:
If I'm feeling up to it, I'll get started on the yoke this afternoon. :)
I received another batch of Workbaskets in the mail yesterday, all from the 90s. Interestingly enough, I remember a few of them. I found the pattern from which I made my grape hot pad (the bottle cap one) and also a back scrubber I crocheted for my father-in-law. I found a few new patterns I wanted to try, including this one:
That cable owl has been around the block, let me tell you. I remember my Mom's favorite baby sweater to knit was one with those owls across the yoke and the back. She'd sew on little pearl buttons with black thread for the eyes and everyone loved 'em. I've never run across it again and the pattern wasn't among her things when we cleaned out the house. I'm sure it's out there in the ethernet somewhere - I probably haven't searched the right places! :)
See ya later - I'm off to moan & groan some more. :(
I have the cable owl baby sweater pattern somewhere and have knit it! I'll have to look in my books for you :)

Cable owl is adorable. I wonder if you know where to find some kitschy potholder patterns for chickens. I've looked via google and can't seem to find the ones I want. I saw some foldover ones that were cool, but no pattern turns up.

*hugs* I'm feeling dead tired today. :P
Cute owl! I'm pretty sure I've run across an owl dishcloth on the web, but I don't think it had the button eyes.

I hope you're feeling better pronto. Feeling lousy both sucks and blows...
I love the owl cable and have played with it before. There used to be a pattern for a similar washcloth on the web but I think it's been removed :( Still, a very cute use of cables. For a washcloth or a dishrag though, I would probably substitute bobbles for buttons.
Holding a good thought for a calmer tummy...

I'm sorry you're feeling yuck. I am the same under stress, my stomach gets icky.
Hey I remember Cable owl! I espcially remember it's macrame incarnation, lol. :)

That's a great cable owl! Try to get some rest this afternoon, and feel better soon.

I hope you feel better soon, too. That's a cute owl, I'm inspired to try and make one without a pattern...already I can hear the wheels turning in my head, why do you do that to me?!
(My father coached a soccer team whose nickname was "The Owls", we had 'em everywhere.)

I've got a thing for owls. Adore this one. That's SO cute.

Thanks, Tiff! I'd love to know where to find it. :)
Elizabeth - Let me check for you. The only chicken pattern I have is the one I made recently. I'll let you know if I find anything.
Andrea - I'm pretty sure I've seen an owl dishcloth too. But finding the site again is like finding a needle in a haystack. :)
Thanks, Robbyn & Vera - I'm definitely feeling better today.
Lisa- I made that macrame owl too. ::Grin::
Karen, Pink & Terri - I love owls in general so I'm seeing lots of possibilities with this guy. Big owls, little owls, owls all over the house!
