Andrea

Great surprise present!

I think the bag is fun. :) Hmmm... I vote for the brown handles and the Hawaian print.

Sheri

Wow, you sure are fast! That is so cute! I have some really *weird* yarn that looked so pretty in the ball, but not so pretty knit up. I might have to try a bag with it, mixed with some other yarns. Too cute!
Oh, and my choice for the liner? The one on the right, bats and lightening, looks like a good match on my computer.
Hope you're feeling better soon. Springtime colds are the worst!

I like the silver handles; they set off the bag colors better. Absolutely gorgeous bag! I prefer solid linings but you go with whatever suits your fancy!

I want to know if Cyndy wants to be my new best friend. :) Beautiful yarn Cyndy.

Amy Boogie

The bag is fun.I couldn't choose handles either. But I love that bat fabric. I have some in oranges - I think it's perfect for your funky bag.

Kristen

Why can't I find friends like yours!? Re: the bag, of course it's your choice, but I'd go with purple lining and silver handle - tres chic.

Alexandra

Silver handles, I think. I like the bag. Anyway, it doesn't have any Fun Fur on or in it, so it's automatically disqualified from What Not to Crochet!

Karin

I love the top handles and the hawaiian print. I think they are smiley stuff.

Mikol

I think that the second pair of handles would be really funky with the hawaiian print. I can't think that anyone would have the audacity to send it off to What not to crochet? It might not be elegant and sophisticated, but I think that there is room in everyone's life for a bit of fun and a smile from time to time.

Leisel

I'd usually choose wood, but I think in this case the silver handles coordinate better with the bag.

And I also vote for the the bats & lightning fabric. Plain purple just doesn't do this bag justice, and you ought to have something that makes you smile when you open it, too. And, IMO, the Hawaiian print is too yellowy-green to go with the sagey blue-green in the bag.

cec

I love your bag! and definitely the bats-and-lightening fabric. :-)

Vera

What a wonderful gift. How sweet.

I like the bag, and the second pair of handles.

BTW, I saw a top on the "You Knit What?" site that I'd like to make.

marie

Bats and lightning definitely! Great serendipitous haul! The knit blog community always amazes me with their generosity.

Thanks for all the opinions! (I love blog entries that generate such a great response.) As Rick Nelson sang, "You can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself." I'll unveil the bag tomorrow - it's not perfect, but it's definitely funky! ha!

maryse

lucky you with the yarn haul. how about using that ribbon yarn for another bag?

and the bag is very cool.

jillian

Feel better!

Wonderful Jager goodies!!

Bron

Thanks Maryse & Jillian! I'm feeling a little better - thank goodness!

Jill

You never fail to amaze and inspire me. The speed and vision you employ with each project is truly a spark for some of us.

Love the fabric bin, btw. My quilting stash is living in a china closet, 3 totes and a pile...a pile which DD3 loves to play in. She'd go nutso over your fabric treasure hunt. ;o)

Bron

Jill - thanks so much! You have no idea how much a comment like that inspires ME. :::Grin:::

DS2 will be going "fabric diving" this week. He's got a 9 week Home Ec course in middle school & they'll be sewing pillows. Heaven knows he'll have enough fabric to choose from!
