« I Don't Join Knit-Alongs | Main | Lots Of Stuff - Including Pesky Picots »

August 24, 2005

I'll be real interested Bron - I always hated picots myself. And yes, I realize that doesn't explain my fondness for bobbles at all :)

Robbyn - Yes, the bobble-thing is an anomaly...But I figure all you east-coasters are a little odd. hehehe

Ooooh! Can't wait to see Kepler. Love the cables. I don't dare join a KAL, though. Never have time to actually finish one. I'll knit vicariously through you :)

I noticed some dishes in your cabinet, next to the shrank. Remind me of my Royal Colonial Homestead set. What are yours?

Hey Roxi! They are the Royal China Old Curiosity Shop set - sold as premiums at Safeway in the 50's & 60's. Mom used them as her Thanksgiving & Christmas dishes throughout my childhood so I was glad to get them when we cleaned out the house. Very high sentimental value. :)

I love the stitching on that- unique, yet simple. Very pretty.

I'm learning to make peace with picots. I decided it's really the popcorn stitch I dislike more after doind a series at 7 treble poporns for a doily.

----"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." - Sir Stephen Henry Roberts (1901-1971)
