Beer Anyone?

Anipat

Normally I'd be making a huge pot of corned beef & cabbage, but the corned beef isn't defrosted, I forgot to buy cabbage and I'm working today. Soooo...it's McDonald's after school. Which is Scottish, not Irish, but I'll have to be forgiven this once. :::Grin:::

In honor of the green theme, here is my progress on Spring Cardi:

Springprogress

The back is complete and half of a front. This is really going quickly, but not quickly enough to wear for today!

Our snow is gone - it was fun while it lasted - and temps should be back up into the 50's today. I fully expect that spring break next week will truly feel like spring. We're taking a little overnight trip in a few days, just to get out of town, but I'll tell you about that next time.

There is a winner in my little "name my Nordic Track" contest. Leisel over at Knot Again suggested either Genghis or Attila...and I'm going with "Attila." I'll check through my stash of yarn & patterns & see what little "something" I can find to reward her ingenuity. Leisel - I'll be getting in touch for your address - thanks!

Today I'm subbing middle school science - 6th grade. The bad news is that I've never subbed there before so I'm a little nervous. The good news is that it's my son's school so I'll possibly get to wave at him in passing today. Yes - he's still young enough that that won't embarrass him. :::wink:::

Have a great day!

McDonald's is only Scottish today if you forget the green milkshake! That's where we're headed this afternoon if certain people behave themselves.

The Spring Cardi looks really pretty so far! I like that lace pattern.

And what is wrong with the Scots? We are Celtic too. And I will join you at the pub for a pint. And are you wearing your green today? I always have a bit of the Celts with me - two tattoos!

Atilla. Hmm That is what my sister and b-i-l have temporarily named my nephew the fetus. It is even titled on the ultrasound. they are having difficulty with selecting a name-can you tell??

Kim - "Attila" has possibilities for a baby name. Honest! Just think of the splash he'll make in preschool. Hehehe

Nuttin' wrong with the Scots, Mia - it's just today it's good to be Irish. :::grin::: Although Celtic certainly covers all bases. Hey - you're talking to a "Bronwyn" here - can't get more Gaelic than that!

Thanks, Karen - I really enjoy crocheted lace; for one thing, I'm much faster at it than knitted lace! Besides, if I make a mistake there's only one loop to consider, not a bunch of yarn-overs & K2togethers! ha!

Bron...

Thanks so much!
