The big SP2 reveal was today - and my SP is....Mia! :::waving at Mia::::
She's a firefighter-in-training & lives in Maryland. Sneaky person that she is, she wasn't the only one sending me gifties - she enlisted her brother, her mother & a friend! Here I thought she was traveling all over the place (although the different hand-writing on some things had me wondering!) and all the time she was safe at home. :)
Mia has one more gift to send and it sounds just as perfect as the others. A few surprises (of course), some local Maryland specialities and a little kit for me to knit a bag! How perfect is that for the Bag Lady. :::Grin:::
I want to let everyone know that Mia was a great SP - very connected, mysterious & waaaay too generous. I truly wish everyone could've been so lucky. Thanks SO much Mia!
Now - SP3 is still underway and I've got to tell you - I'm just as lucky with my second SP as I was with my first. Here's the surprise package that came on Friday:
Wow - what an array of goodies! She read that I collect Tarot cards, so in the small knitted bag (which I bet she did herself) I found a miniature Tarot Nova! So cool & one I didn't have. :) The Rebecca magazine is my first - but not my last! I think I was being a bit of a snob assuming that the designs in Rebecca were too "young" for me. Au contraire! I found 4 patterns I'd love to make & more that are on my "maybe someday" list. I know there's a cabled hat that will HAVE to be made sometime in the next couple of weeks. :::grin::::
There were two black cats included - a candle (too cute) and a lovely carved cat in soapstone from Kenya. That immediately went on my "black cat" curio shelf - I loved it! Oh - and some black cat book plates too. :)
The mysterious white blob you see is something I can't wait to try - a bath melt from Lush.com. This one is called "Ceridwen's Cauldron" and smells heavenly. Go check out the company - it looks like they have some truly decadent bath & body items.
Thanks SP3! You totally made my weekend. :)
Knitting tally: 2 scarves finished, one to go. More progress made on the afghan and on "Wing & Prayer." But mainly this weekend has been taken up with listing things to do at the rental property & trying to keep the kids from going bonkers waiting for trick-or-treat time! Speaking of which, I think I have a face to paint & fake blood to drip.
