....Quick! Who said that on what TV show? Bonus points if you can say to whom the quote is referring. Hehehehe
"Nice" is terribly over-used and, dare I say, trite. It covers a lot of territory without saying much of anything. But dang it....
I've met the nicest people since starting to blog almost a year ago. Kind and generous to a fault, they make my blogging experience enjoyable and worthwhile. Case in point...
I received a little package in the mail yesterday. It was totally out of the blue & I couldn't imagine what was inside:
Hmmmm...8 lovely skeins of purple alpaca! And there was more...
A Brittany crochet hook and a lovely little crocheted pouch (which I had admired on her blog.) Inside the pouch was a gorgeous lapis egg - unfortunately the egg turned out to be unphotographable with my cheapie digital camera. But trust me - it's a great specimen that fits nicely into my collection.
After a really lousy couple of weeks this surprise gift did SO much to raise my spirits...a big thank-you to my blogging friend Robbyn!
After admiring my pressies, I worked on my tank:
The pic is very fuzzy for some reason, but you get the idea. I really like the Fresco ribbon yarn - very soft, easy to knit and doesn't split! The colors are sooooo...cotton candy-ish knitted up. Isn't there a Candy-a-long going on somewhere? I think I should join 'cause this is definitely frivolous summer knitting! I've decided to tweak the pattern just a tad - add a couple of inches in length and put in some short rows at the bust. But otherwise this is perfect TV knitting!
That's all for now - go out & do something frivolous today!
